WANTED: Hardware Design Engineer, Oxford, UK

A new opportunity exists for a hardware engineer. The ideal candidate should ideally have an interest in the automotive industry, and experience in the following;

Microcontroller systems design (AVR and ARM)
Schematic capture and PCB layout
Prototyping and fault finding
Taking design through to manufacture and testing
Automotive interfaces including CAN, J1850, IS9141

In addition to the design work, the candidate will also be responsible for liaising with suppliers and manufacturers ensuring quality, consistency and longevity of supply.

This is an exciting new role suited to a candidate with automotive hardware or embedded electronics experience.

Some programming experience, particularly in C or Assembly would be beneficial.

WANTED: BMW Master Technician, Australia

Master Technicians required to provide technical support to a growing customer base. Successful candidates will be based in the company's new offices in Melbourne.

The role primarily involves the provision of telephone and email technical support to independent automotive workshops in the Asia region. Preparation and delivery of training to mechanics in Asia is also a feature. Additionally the role includes liaising and providing feedback to software development teams and occasional overseas travel, particularly to the UK.

The successful candidate should posess dealer-level training and experience (ideally to Master Technician level). Experience of training mechanics would be beneficial.

ISO 9141 and ISO 14230
